Andrea Helfrich
Andrea has ten years of underwriting and broking experience in primary and reinsurance financial lines underwriting, both in Australia and overseas, which has given her extensive insight into the underwriting and broking process.
Her recent roles include working for Freeman McMurrick, where she specialised in professional and financial lines, working with Mark Parris in establishing a multi-million dollar book of business. Andrea was most recently contracted in to a specialist underwriting role with ACE Insurance’s financial lines division, focusing on D&O insurance for large corporates and financial institutions.
Andrea’s insurance career started in London, where she worked as a facultative liability underwriter with General Cologne Re, a division of the Berkshire Hathaway Group. She moved with them to Sydney in a similar capacity before being approached by Chubb Insurance to take on a senior underwriting role in the Financial Lines division. In this role she was responsible for the financial risk insurances of a large percentage of Australia’s top 200 listed companies.
